Here's some simple magic that you could do to trick your family!

Secretly put some soap on one of your fingers. Put some pepper and water in a bowl. Ask a family member to dip their finger in the bowl and see if the pepper moves to the side (it won't). Now put your (soapy) finger into the bowl and watch the pepper move away from your finger. You could take a photo of your trick and

Boat Race

  • Make 2 paper boats (see craft activity below).
  • Put them in a bowl of water.
  • Using a straw (or a rolled up piece of paper) have a race to see who can blow their boat to the other end of the bowl first.

  • Jesus did some amazing things in the video. What is it called when Jesus does something that no-one else could do?
  • Some friends brought a man to see Jesus. What did the friends want Jesus to do?
  • When Jesus was in the boat he had been asleep. His friends woke him up. What did Jesus say to stop the storm? Why did it work?

My God's the king of the giants
My God's the king of the lions
My God's the king of the creatures of the deep
My God's the king of me

Have you heard the story about my friend King Dave?
Wouldn't let the giant stand in his way
He said, "Hand me my sling 'cause he's not that tall"
"My God is bigger, and I'll watch him fall"

My God's the king of the giants
My God's the king of the lions
My God's the king of the creatures of the deep
My God's the king of me

Have you heard the one about this guy called Dan?
Yes, he was a mighty holy praying man
They said, "Throw him to the den of the scary beasts"
But God saved our hero from the lion's teeth

My God's the king of the giants
My God's the king of the lions
My God's the king of the creatures of the deep
My God's the king of me

This is more than history
He will do the same for me
Like Jonah and the whale at sea
When I'm lost and afraid, all alone in the dark
You're with me
Oh, You're with me

My God's the king of the giants
My God's the king of the lions
My God's the king of the creatures of the deep
My God's the king of me

My God's the king of the giants
My God's the king of the lions
My God's the king of the creatures of the deep
My God's the king of me
My God's the king of me

Prayer is the special word we use to describe talking to God. God wants us to talk to him.

We can talk to God about anything. One thing we can do is to praise Him for all the amazing things that He can do.

Dear God
Thank you that you are so great and powerful.
Thank you that you can do miracles.
Thank you that you know all about us and that you love us very much.
Please help us to learn more about you.
Amen

Make your own version of the story with this craft. You will need 2 craft (lolly) sticks, a piece of fabric, a split pin, a piece of card and some glue. Glue the fabric to the craft sticks. Draw a picture of the paralysed man on some card and colour him in. Attach the man to the mat using the split pin.
