Prayer is the special word we use to describe talking to God. God wants us to talk to him.
David was sure of God's help and protection, and we can also be sure God loves us and cares for us. He especially loves to hear from us, and we call that talking to God 'prayer'. Try the one here:
Dear God, Thank you for the story of faith that is shown in David's victory over Goliath. We thank you that the battle was won, not by muscle strength but by you working through David. We pray that we would have faith like David and know that you are with us in good times and in difficult times. Help us to rely on you more each day. Amen
If you want to, you can talk to God about the good or difficult times you might be going through.
Cut out the shape of a bag from some coloured card, then stick on 5 'rocks' in felt or other material. Finish with the verse from the bible: "The battle is the Lord's" 1 Samuel 17:47
Make a batch of 'stone' cookies and decorate them however you'd like to.
